OpenStickerMaker Studio
OSM Studio lays out sticker sheets, removes backgrounds, traces cut lines, and prints + cuts them on a PixCut S1 sticker printer over USB (and the Cricut StickerPix Print+Cut, the same printer family) — from a browser, a portable Windows app, or a Linux app. AI agents can drive it too, through its built-in MCP server.
Made with AI. This project was built with the help of AI. Check results before relying on them, and try new settings on a spare sheet first.
Independent project. OpenStickerMaker Studio is an independent, open-source app written for interoperability with the PixCut S1. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by PixCut. Use at your own risk.
Pre-release. Everything has been tested against a built-in printer simulator, but not yet on a real PixCut S1 or StickerPix.
Features
- Bulk sticker sheets — set a size and quantity per design and OSM Studio fills as many sheets as needed, nesting stickers by their real shape so more fit on each sheet. Fill a sheet with one design, or fill the gaps left on the last sheet.
- Cut lines that follow the artwork (with a white border), or a rounded rectangle, rectangle or circle. Adjustable smoothness, and stray specks are ignored.
- Background removal — remove a plain background colour, or use the local AI cut-out for photos. The model ships with the app: it works offline and images never leave your computer.
- Split a sheet of artwork (for example an image with six badges) into separate stickers in one click.
- Text stickers and name lists — one sticker per name, optionally printed onto an existing design.
- Kiss cut (sticker peels off the sheet) or die cut (perforated through the backing so it pops out), with an optional peel tab.
- Simple edits — rotate, mirror, trim empty edges, fill a background colour; undo / redo; duplicate designs.
- Print quality warnings — each design shows the dpi it will print at.
- Projects — save everything (images included) to one
.osmstudiofile, or reopen from Recent; optionally keep the exact print files for identical reprints. - Printing — print one sheet or all of them, with progress and plain-language printer messages; test cut to check knife pressure (recommended 42 for peel-off stickers, 53 for cutting them out, remembered per printer); an alignment check sheet and cut-offset correction; several printers at once, sharing the sheets between them.
- Printer tools — model, firmware and loaded paper, a warning if the wrong paper is loaded, resume, the printer's job list, and auto power-off.
- Exports — print image (
.jpg), cut file (.plt) and cut preview (.svg). - Tape labels for Brother P-touch printers (PT-D610BT; PT-P900 / P900W, TZe up to 36 mm, Wi-Fi on the P900W) — text, 111 barcode types (QR, Code 128, EAN/UPC, DataMatrix, PDF417…), images, numbered and list batches; print over USB, through the system print dialog, or as a raw print file. See Tape labels.
- MCP server — 31 tools so agents such as Claude Code or Amazon Quick can build sheets, preview them and print.

The Windows builds aren't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn the first time you run them.
Quick start
- Start the app — see Windows, Linux or the web app.
- Press Add samples, or drop in your own images (PNG with transparency works best).
- Set each design's width and quantity, and pick 4 × 7 in (print + cut).
- With the printer plugged in, open Printers and press Connect over USB.
- Run a Test cut, then print.
The full walkthrough is in the user guide.

Requirements
- Printer: PixCut S1 over USB, or a Cricut StickerPix Print+Cut (same printer family; expected to work, not yet tested). Print + cut uses 4 × 7 in sheets; 4 × 6 in sheets print only.
- Desktop app: Windows 10/11 (x64) or a modern 64-bit Linux.
- Web app: Chrome or Edge (WebUSB) on Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS or Android. Firefox and Safari can design and export but can't reach the printer.
