[1.8.5] — 19 September 2026
Updates
- The updater no longer requires
flock; installations without that utility
use the existing atomic update marker instead.
Fixes
- Admin now reports an updater that fails during startup immediately, including
its specific error, instead of eventually showing only that it stopped.
- Update locking still uses
flock when available and safely rejects concurrent
or active update processes when it is not.
